8 more weeks…

thats the amount of time left until I graduate.  Ask me how I feel, bitter sweet.  It’s like I want to put time in a slow mo and live the college life as long as I can.  $ from mom, no real schedule, $1 drinks, I wish that’d last for ever.  I’ve come to realize it’s time and I’ve got places to go, people to meet, and an adventure to live.  I’m ready… oh ya, new website coming soon….

What’s it like to be on the other side of me?

Ask this question to 3-10 different people.  What’s it like to be on the other side of me?  You’ll receive encouraging information, surprising information, and your feelings will be hurt.  It’s break through and invitational.  You will be displaying a heart of wisdom.  Be aware of your emotions and don’t become your emotions.  When it comes to the end of the day, it’s all about relationships… Do this through e-mail, in person meetings, Facebook messaging, what ever you do, just try it!

Red Bull Play & Destroy at UGA – Who will be victorious?

Athens GA has never seen an event like this before.  12 contestant signed up and prepared a “slaylist” of songs which they will each battle each other with head to head, bracket style in front of a packed out crowd all on their ipods.  They had 3 songs for each “battlegory” (best club banger, I’m ashamed to have this on my ipod, one hit wonders, booty shaking, etc.)  It’s all about a deep playlist and who has the biggest crowd.  Contestant were quickly boo’d off stage as they played weak songs and lost interest in the crowd.  Few won the approval of the crowd as they cheered and chanted loudly as the song finished up.  There were some killer songs and some major flops, those who couldn’t bring the heat were eliminated immediately.  The winner ultimately brought the biggest crowd and maintained control of the best energy.  These guys got a taste of what it’s like to be a DJ.  All in all, the energy was insane as the crowd was engaged throughout the whole event.  This event can even be done on a smaller scale and is very fun to do with friends.  For more information, visit www.redbullplayanddestroy.com

Game Ball Relay

The idea of the Game Ball Relay was created in one of our Team 14h30 meetings at UGA, kudos to Dill Driscoll.  Dedication and will power were the two main ingredients in the 90 mile march from Atlanta to Athens.  The purpose was to “re-energize” the Bull Dawg Nation and raise money benefiting The Shepherd Center (spinal cord & brain rehabilitation.)  I can proudly say, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with an event.  We beat our goal of raising $25,000,  next year we are going for $500,000.  ”Like” the Facebook page and follow them on twitter.  Big thanks to Relay of Heros, Team 14h30, local hero’s, and members of the 81′ UGA National Championship Team.

California

West Coast life.  Growing up in Georgia, I’ve always dreamed of living in California, the opportunity arose and I jumped on it. My main focus was to travel and develop meaningful relationships.  California inspired me to go out on new adventures.  This place triggers a strong desire to explore new boundaries and try new things.  So far I’ve traveled and experienced Venice Beach, Malibu, Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Hollywood, San-Francisco, and Newport Beach.  I couldn’t have done it with out my best friend Brandon Nelson who was the one responsible for giving me the idea of coming.

Decisions

I learned something very important yesterday in Athens Church.  In college we tend to make a lot of big decisions, some are good and some are bad.  If we really take the time to think about what is important to us and how we value our time we can make the right choice.  The speaker emphasized “you must be wise in making your decisions.”  What is the “wise” thing to do?  I want you to ask your self next time you’ve been drinking downtown and think about getting in the driver seat “what is the wise thing to do?”  As my grandpa always used to say “better safe than sorry.
